Photo desaturation

I think this is a nice example of how we can alter photos in very simple ways to express a certain moods or emotions. The only difference between the two photos is the color saturation Since we cannot see the girl’s face, we have to rely on other clues in the photo. The colors become even more important and start to reflect her mood. In the first one It’s a bright and sunny day out, and she seems happy or content. In the second photo her mood becomes more mellow. The overcast and desaturated colors suggest reflection or contemplation, perhaps even loss. One photo. Two very different feelings.
I ‘m considering offering this shot as print, but still haven’t decided which version.
